Which codes and editions does SparkCalc use?

NEC 2023 (US), Japan's Technical Standards for Electrical Equipment and Interior Wiring Code (JIS mode), and KEC (Korea, IEC 60364-based). The default follows your region; change it with the menu at the top of the Calculate tab. Every result names the table and edition. If your area adopts a different edition or local amendments, those rules apply.

Can I rely on the results?

Each table value and formula is covered by automated tests, and you can open every step. Results are still for reference only: always follow the code adopted in your area, manufacturer data and the authority having jurisdiction.

I found a mistake in a question or a calculation.

Thank you! Tap ⋯ › “Report a problem” on the question or calculator. Corrections are delivered as content updates, usually without waiting for an app update. Settings › Content shows the update history.

Why is the exam content in Japanese?

The first exam track is Japan's Second-Class Electrician exam, which is held only in Japanese. The app interface is available in 6 languages. More exam tracks may follow.

Is SparkCalc Pro a subscription?

No. Pro is a one-time purchase that you keep forever, and it works with Family Sharing. It unlocks all exam content and unlimited saved calculations. All calculators stay free.

How do I restore my purchase?

Open Settings in SparkCalc and tap “Restore Purchases”. Make sure you are signed in with the same Apple Account you used to buy Pro.

My progress is missing on my new device.

Check that iCloud is on for SparkCalc (iOS Settings › [your name] › iCloud) and that “iCloud sync” is on in SparkCalc Settings. The first sync can take a few minutes on Wi-Fi.

How do I turn off usage statistics?

In SparkCalc Settings, turn off “Share anonymous usage statistics”. See the privacy policy for details.
